Scheduled on/off · Meta

On at the time you set,
off at the time you set

Turn ads on when the sale starts, off at midnight, and pause them on weekends. Put the campaign, ad set or ad ID and a time in the sheet, and WIVer turns it on or off at that time. One row in a sheet replaces logging in at 00:00.

Available on every plan, including the free trial. To celebrate the launch, the number of schedules is unlimited for now; if a cap is introduced, we will announce it on this page in advance. Scheduling for Google, Kakao and Naver ads is supported in Enterprise.

Early-morning sales and midnight cut-offs, without anyone on watch

Sales start at 00:00 and promotions end at 23:30. Opening Ads Manager at exactly that moment to switch things on and off has always fallen to the marketer. Put the targets and times in the sheet, and WIVer checks the clock every minute and runs each one on time. If a target is already in the desired state, it is left as it is, and if its parent campaign is off, WIVer lets you know.

Campaign, ad set or ad — just enter the ID

Use an ID to specify what to turn on or off. Pick campaigns and ad sets in the finder, or paste an ID copied from Ads Manager. Whatever the ID — campaign, ad set or ad — WIVer recognizes it and fills in the level, name and ad account in the next cells. You never have to schedule based on an ID alone.

Results are written to the same row

Once a schedule runs, its status changes to Done, and the result, message and actual run time are written to the same row. If Meta rejects the change, its reason is recorded verbatim. The owner is shown on the row too, so nobody on a shared sheet has to ask "who turned this off?"

How it works

One schedule, three cells

These steps start once the scheduled on/off sheet is open. The screens are simplified versions of the app. You type into three cells — ID, scheduled time and desired state — and WIVer fills in the rest.

1

Enter the ID of what to turn on or off

Click the ID cell to open the finder. Pick an ad account and a campaign to list its ad sets; select several and they fill this row and the rows below it. You can also paste an ID copied from Ads Manager. As soon as an ID is in, the level, name and ad account appear in the next cells, so you can see you have the right target.

Set the time and the desired state — that is the schedule

Click the Scheduled time cell to open the calendar. Times are in the sheet's time zone, in 5-minute steps. Desired state is ON or OFF. The moment all three cells — ID, scheduled time, desired state — are filled, the row is scheduled and the status cell shows Scheduled. There is no button to press. Change the time and the schedule follows; clear a cell and the schedule is canceled. If the time has passed or the ID cannot be found, the status cell says why.

It runs at the set time and the result is written to the row

WIVer checks the clock every minute and turns the target on or off at the scheduled time. If it is already in the desired state, the result is recorded as Success with the message "Already in this state". Turning an ad on does not enable delivery if its parent campaign or ad set is off, so schedule those parent levels too. If a run fails, the owner is notified and the reason is written in the message cell. To turn the same target on and off every day, duplicate the row and change the date.

When to use it

Moments every marketer will recognize

Midnight sale launch

Turn the sale creatives on at 00:00 and the existing creatives off at the same moment. Two rows.

Promotion ends

A promotion that ends at 23:30 is switched off at exactly 23:30. No more ads for a sale that's already over.

Weekends and late nights off

Pause ads on weekends and late at night when it is difficult to handle inquiries, and turn them back on Monday morning.

The ad you need off tonight — schedule it in the sheet now

Scheduled on/off works in the Starter free trial too. To celebrate the launch, the number of schedules is unlimited for now.
